Welcome to United Beta Zambia

United Beta Zambia is one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of clay products in Zambia, with its origins dating back to 1973 when it was established as Zamclay.

The company operates a plant in Kalulushi town in the Copperbelt of Zambia and has offices in Lusaka and Kalulushi and services the construction market in Zambia and exports products into the DRC-Lubumbashi region and Zimbabwe.

The company uses German brick making technology and makes use of renewable fuel in the form of saw-dust (pine and charcoal) allowing it to be a carbon-neutral operation, reducing at least 30, 000 tons of carbon every year compared to an ordinary clay brick plant.

United Beta Zambia has a subsidiary Kalulushi Properties which owns the land on which the brick manufacturing plant is located. Kalulushi properties have mining rights and a licence for small scale mining to aid the brick manufacturing plant in extracting different types of clay for its production processes.

The business is compliant with the environmental requirements with an approved Environmental Project Brief from the Zambia Environmental Agency. (ZEMA)
